Kitchen Table Sums makes Excel and Google Sheets spreadsheets for Aussie money jobs. Tell us what you want to sort out and we'll point you at one sheet, not a whole shop.
The short version.
- Want a budget? Start with the Fortnightly Budget. It works for one pay or two, weekly, fortnightly or monthly.
- Got an ABN? The Sole Trader Tax Tracker, in the Side Hustle, Tradie or Rideshare edition.
- Both? The bundle has both for A$11.99 (A$15.98 separately).
- Own a rental? The Investment Property Tracker.
- Not ready to buy? The free sheets are a good first step.
The kitchen table money check.
- Find out where your pay goes. The free Where Did My Pay Go? sheet takes about 15 minutes. Then read paying monthly bills on fortnightly pay.
- Set your fortnight up. A plan for each payday, with a buffer in the bills account. See how big the buffer should be.
- If you have an ABN, set tax aside every payment. Read how much to put aside.
- Review every quarter. Twenty minutes, four times a year, ideally before each BAS is due.
